ART OF COLLIN

Collin Scott is a contemporary painter influenced by graffiti culture, early 2000s cartoons, and the history of abstraction. His work pulls form bold line work, loose symbols, exaggerated forms, and vibrant colors. Creating a blend of street influenced mark making and structured composition, ultimately becoming a smoothie of controlled chaos. Pulling inspiration from Kandinsky, Picasso, Basquiat, and KAWS, Scott combines modernist abstraction with a sense of graffiti and cartoons, giving the opportunity for figures, shapes and spaces to collide. His paintings play on energy, imperfections, and movement which makes for a playful feeling and constant motion.
